Based in the Office vice provosts for Engagement and Land-Grant Affairs and the Vice President for Student and Campus Life, staff oversee funding and development opportunities for students, faculty, staff, and their community partners. CELT-Program Assistant will assist with a range of strategic, general administrative, research and facilitation support related to the Einhorn Center’s Academic initiatives and programs. In addition, the individual will assist with several areas of program development and logistical and administrative coordination that support Academic Initiatives such as the CELT-Facilitator Program, CELT-Student Travel Grant, Global Engagement Survey, Engaged College Initiatives, and others. Other responsibilities include maintaining appropriate files/documentation; letter writing/mailings; conducting research, analyzing data, and collaborating with student organizations and others as appropriate.

Required Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
Requirements: Must currently be enrolled in a Cornell undergraduate or graduate program for the 2022/23 academic year and have demonstrated written/verbal ability and strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work autonomously, take the initiative; manage multiple competing priorities; organize work, handle details, learn new subject areas, work autonomously, take the industry, manage multiple and competing preferences, class work, address details, and discover new subject areas—good organizational and communication skills. The candidate also has taken community-engaged learning courses or participated in the CELT program.
Preferred: Community work-study eligibility is strongly preferred—proficiency in a Mac environment, Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel), and Google Documents. Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and WordPress is helpful. Experience working with students in a college setting and familiarity with Cornell student life and the surrounding community preferred.

Work Schedule:
To be determined by student and employer. The position will be based in the Engaged Cornell Hub. 5-8 hours per week during normal business hours of 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday and occasionally on weekends.
