Job Description:
The Gayogohó:nǫˀ Learning Project is a partnership of indigenous and non-indigenous people working to promote awareness and practice of Gayogo̱hó:nǫˀ (Cayuga) language in its ancestral homeland and beyond. We hope to carry the idea of sgę́:nǫˀ gó:wah into our work, cultivating peace and cooperation through education and community outreach (see gayogohono-learning-project.org).

Responsibilities:
• Manage enrollment and communications with students for one weekly Gayogohó:nǫˀ Language and Culture Class, including hosting classes via Zoom, if necessary
• Help research grant funding for the organization
• As needed, use video camera and/or computer with webcam to record and/or upload video recordings to Vimeo, making minor edits and share links with students
• As time and experience permits, edit video content from previous classes to create learning resources focused on particular subjects
• Help with creation and distribution of monthly e-newsletter for organization
Required Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
Position Requirements:
• Interest in Gayogohó:nǫˀ (Cayuga) language and culture
• Ability to independently travel to Tompkins County Public Library in downtown Ithaca to attend weekly classes that take place every Wednesday evening from 6-7 pm (on TCAT bus route)
• Good communication skills, reliability, and attention to detail
• Experience using video editing software or willingness to learn
