Job Description:
The Museum of the Earth is a public education venue for the Paleontological Research
Institution. The Museum is a world class institution of science, culture, & education.
Admission staff members are the first people that visitors encounter as they enter the
Museum and they are vital to a positive visitor experience!
As a Museum Visitor Services Assistant, you will learn how the Institution is able to
integrate both private and public pursuits, through education, lecture series, and special
events.
Responsibilities will include opening and closing of the museum exhibits,
greeting visitors and collecting admissions. Visitor Services Assistant will
also work in the Museum store making sales, stocking shelves, store
research, receiving new merchandise and keeping things in order. There
may be other tasks assigned as they come up. The Visitor Services
Assistant may also update various visitor information, public
programming, and volunteer logs on a weekly basis.

Required Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
This position needs outgoing and welcoming people comfortable with high levels
of social interaction. And one who can fill time with useful projects when the
Museum is quiet. Individuals should be creative, outgoing and focused on visitor
services and have good oral communication.

Work Schedule:
Thursdays through Mondays | 9:30am – 5:30pm | Our most available slots are on weekdays, with half day options (9:30am-1:30pm or 1:30pm-5:30pm) available.
